Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Italian sausage (sweet or hot)
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sausage and cook until browned, about 5 minutes per side.
  3. Remove sausage and slice into 1-inch pieces.
  4. In the same skillet, add peppers, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Return sausage to the skillet, add Italian seasoning and chicken broth.
  6. Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Serve hot with crusty bread or pasta.

  • Use any color bell peppers.
