Description
A festive and easy dessert made with a sugar cookie crust, cream cheese frosting, and fresh fruit arranged to resemble the American flag—perfect for 4th of July, Memorial Day, or summer parties!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (16.5 oz) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour (optional, for rolling)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup whipped topping or whipped cream (optional)
- 1 pint blueberries
- 1 pound strawberries, sliced
- Optional: sliced bananas or raspberries
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan or baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Press sugar cookie dough into the pan evenly. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until lightly golden. Let cool completely.
- In a bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla. Fold in whipped topping if using.
- Spread frosting evenly over the cooled crust using an offset spatula.
- Decorate the top: arrange blueberries in the top-left corner and alternate rows of strawberries and banana slices for stripes.
- Chill the fruit pizza for at least 30 minutes before serving to firm up.
Notes
Use fresh fruit for the best look and texture. Pat fruit dry before placing to avoid runny toppings. For best results, assemble the fruit layer close to serving time and brush bananas with lemon juice to prevent browning.
