- 1 lb Italian sausage, casing removed
- 1 lb ziti pasta
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried basil
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- Cook pasta according to package instructions; drain.
- Brown sausage in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it into small pieces.
- Mix cooked pasta, sausage, marinara sauce, ricotta, garlic powder, basil, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
- Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Use whole milk ricotta for a creamier texture.
- Replace Italian sausage with ground beef or turkey if preferred.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days.
