- 1/2 cup fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Boil green beans for 5 minutes, then drain.
- Melt butter in a pan and whisk in flour to make a roux.
- Slowly add milk, stirring until thickened.
- Add cheese, salt, and pepper, then mix with green beans.
- Pour into a baking dish and top with fried onions.
- Bake for 25 minutes until bubbly.

- Use fresh green beans for best texture.
- Swap cheddar for Swiss cheese if preferred.
