Description

A savory tart featuring sweet caramelized onions.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 3 large onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 ounces goat cheese
  • Fresh thyme sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan. Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 30-40 minutes. Stir in balsamic vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry and place it on a baking sheet.
  4. Spread the caramelized onions over the pastry.
  5. Crumble goat cheese over the onions.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden.
  7. Garnish with fresh thyme.

Notes

  • You can add a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese before baking.
