Christmas Tree Meringue Pops

Description

Make festive meringue pops shaped like Christmas trees.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • Green food coloring
  • Sprinkles
  • Lollipop sticks

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (93°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a clean bowl, beat the egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.
  3. Gradually add the sugar, beating until stiff, glossy peaks form.
  4. Divide the meringue into two bowls. Color one bowl with green food coloring. Leave the other white.
  5. Spoon the green meringue into a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  6. Pipe Christmas tree shapes onto the parchment paper. Insert a lollipop stick into the base of each tree.
  7. Sprinkle with sprinkles.
  8. Bake for 60-90 minutes, or until the meringues are dry and firm.
  9. Let cool completely before serving.
