Classic Deviled Eggs

Description

A simple recipe for classic deviled eggs, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • Paprika, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat, cover, and let stand for 10-12 minutes.
  2. Drain eggs and rinse with cold water. Peel and cut each egg in half lengthwise.
  3. Remove the yolks and mash them in a small bowl.
  4. Add mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper to the mashed yolks. Mix until smooth.
  5. Spoon the yolk mixture back into the egg white halves.
  6. Sprinkle with paprika before serving.

Notes

  • For a creamier filling, add an extra teaspoon of mayonnaise.
  • You can add a pinch of cayenne pepper for a little heat.
