Cookie Mix in a Jar

Description

A simple and customizable cookie mix stored in a jar, perfect for gifting or quick baking.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Pour the flour mixture into a large jar.
  3. Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar on top of the flour mixture.
  4. If using, add the chocolate chips on top of the sugars.
  5. Seal the jar tightly.
  6. To bake, empty the jar contents into a bowl. Add 1 egg and ½ cup melted butter. Mix until just combined. Drop spoonfuls onto a baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 9-11 minutes.

Notes

  • You can add other mix-ins like nuts or dried fruit.
  • Decorate the jar with a ribbon and a tag with baking instructions.
