- 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
- 8 oz lasagna noodles, broken into pieces
- 2 cups fresh spinach (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- In a large pot, cook ground beef or sausage over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until onion is translucent.
- Pour in broth, bring to a simmer, then add heavy cream and cream cheese. Stir until melted.
- Break lasagna noodles into pieces and add to the pot. Cook for 10-12 minutes until al dente.
- Stir in mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
- Add fresh spinach (if using) and stir until wilted.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, garnish with fresh basil, and serve hot.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute heavy cream with half-and-half and use lean ground turkey instead of beef or sausage.
