- 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain potatoes and return to pot.
- Heat milk and butter in a separate saucepan until butter is melted.
- Pour milk mixture over potatoes.
- Mash potatoes until smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a clove of minced garlic while heating the milk and butter.
- You can use a hand mixer for smoother potatoes.
