Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Description

Simple recipe for creamy mashed potatoes.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  2. Drain potatoes and return to pot.
  3. Heat milk and butter in a separate saucepan until butter is melted.
  4. Pour milk mixture over potatoes.
  5. Mash potatoes until smooth.
  6. Season with salt and pepper.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a clove of minced garlic while heating the milk and butter.
