Healthy Crockpot Chicken

Description

A simple and healthy crockpot chicken recipe.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Place chicken breasts in the crockpot.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together chicken broth, olive oil, oregano, basil, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the broth mixture over the chicken.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours, or until chicken is cooked through.
  5. Remove chicken from crockpot and shred.
  6. Return shredded chicken to the crockpot and stir to coat with the sauce.
  7. Season with salt to taste before serving.

  • You can add chopped onions or bell peppers for extra flavor.
