Instructions
- In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries, granulated sugar, and lemon juice. Let sit for 15 minutes to macerate.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the macerated strawberries into the whipped cream, leaving some streaks for visual appeal.
- Spoon the strawberry fool into individual serving dishes.
- Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a smoother fool, you can lightly mash some of the strawberries before folding them into the cream.
- Garnish with fresh mint leaves or a whole strawberry.
