Description
Individual layered tiramisu trifles in jars, perfect for a no-bake dessert.
Ingredients

- 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
- 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar, divided
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract, divided
- 8 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder, for dusting
- 12 ladyfingers, broken into pieces
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, combine the cooled coffee, coffee liqueur (if using), 1 tablespoon of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- In a medium bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, cream cheese, remaining 1 tablespoon of sugar, and remaining 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
- Quickly dip the ladyfinger pieces into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are coated but not soggy.
- Layer the trifle jars: start with a layer of dipped ladyfingers, followed by a layer of the mascarpone cream. Repeat the layers until the jars are full, ending with a cream layer.
- Chill the trifles for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
- Before serving, dust the tops with cocoa powder.
Notes
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the coffee liqueur and use 2 tablespoons of extra coffee.
- You can prepare these trifles up to 24 hours in advance.
- Ensure your mascarpone and cream cheese are at room temperature for a smoother filling.
