Yield: 4 large servings
Ingredients:
• 4 large russet potatoes, cut into wedges
• 3 tablespoons olive oil (45 ml)
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• ½ teaspoon onion powder
• ½ teaspoon black pepper
• ½ teaspoon dried oregano
• ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)
• 2 tablespoons cornstarch (16 g) for extra crispiness
• Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)
How to make them:
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Wash and scrub the russet potatoes, then slice them into thick wedges. Pat them very dry with paper towels—this helps the wedges get extra crispy.
- Place the wedges in a large bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and toss until evenly coated.
- Sprinkle in the cornstarch, salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, oregano, and cayenne. Toss well so every wedge is fully coated with the seasoning mixture.
- Spread the seasoned wedges on the baking sheet in a single layer, leaving space between them. Crowding the pan can make them steam instead of crisp.
- Bake for 35–40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the wedges are deep golden, crispy on the outside, and tender inside.
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired.
Serve these Golden Crispy Seasoned Potato Wedges hot with ketchup, ranch, or your favorite dipping sauce for the ultimate comfort snack.
