Make delicious chili cheese fries at home.

- 1 pound frozen french fries
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (15 ounce) can chili beans, undrained
- 1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Bake the french fries according to package directions.
- While the fries are baking, brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
- Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the chili beans, diced tomatoes, chili powder, and cumin. Season with salt and pepper.
- Bring the chili to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the fries are done, top them with the chili and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Return the fries to the oven for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can add other toppings like sour cream or jalapeños.
- For a spicier chili, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
