Classic Pasta Salad

Description

A simple and refreshing pasta salad perfect for picnics and potlucks.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound pasta
  • 1 cup chopped celery
  • 1 cup chopped bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, celery, bell pepper, and onion.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  4. Pour the dressing over the pasta mixture and toss to coat.
  5. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For a creamier salad, add a little more mayonnaise.
  • You can add other vegetables like peas or shredded carrots.
  • Add cooked chicken or ham for a heartier salad.
