Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix flour, granulated sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Press half the mixture into a greased 9×9-inch baking pan.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes.
  6. Toss apples with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  7. Spread apples over the baked crust.
  8. Drizzle caramel sauce on top.
  9. Sprinkle remaining crust mixture over the apples.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  11. Sprinkle with sea salt while warm.
  12. Let cool before cutting into bars.
