Description
A simple gratin made with leeks.
Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 large leeks, white and light green parts only, thinly sliced and washed
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Gruyère cheese
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Melt the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the leeks, salt, and pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the leeks are softened, about 8-10 minutes.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for 2 minutes.
- Pour the leek mixture into a baking dish.
- Sprinkle the Gruyère cheese over the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- You can use other types of cheese, such as Swiss or Parmesan.
- Serve this dish hot.
