A simple one-pot meal with ground beef, rice, and cheese.
Ingredients

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 cup uncooked long-grain rice
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drain off any fat.
- Add the onion and garlic to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Add the rice, beef broth, and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked.
- Stir in the cheese until melted.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute ground turkey or chicken for the ground beef.
- Feel free to add other vegetables, such as bell peppers or mushrooms.
- For extra flavor, use a different type of cheese.
