Pasta Salad with Basil

Description

A fresh and simple pasta salad featuring basil.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound pasta
  • 1 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, and Parmesan cheese.
  3. Add the cooked pasta and chopped basil to the bowl.
  4. Toss to combine. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Chill for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can add other vegetables like cherry tomatoes or cucumbers.
  • For a creamier dressing, add a tablespoon of mayonnaise.
