- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup hot cocoa mix
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup crushed peppermint candies
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, combine sugar, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Stir in the hot cocoa mix.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely.
- Sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies before serving.
Notes
- For extra peppermint flavor, add a few drops of peppermint extract.
- Store brownies in an airtight container.
