Description
A crunchy, buttery, salty snack with a tangy dill pickle punch — this Pickle Popcorn is everything you love about pickles in an irresistible popcorn form. Perfect for movie nights or party spreads!
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup popcorn kernels (or 8 cups popped popcorn)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1–2 tablespoons pickle juice (from your favorite jar!)
- 1 teaspoon dried dill (or 1 tablespoon fresh, finely chopped)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- Optional: pinch of cayenne or black pepper for a kick
- Optional: chopped dried dill pickles
- Optional: crushed dill pickle chips
- Optional: grated Parmesan
- Optional: nutritional yeast
Instructions
- Pop the kernels using your favorite method (air popper, stovetop, or microwave). Transfer popcorn to a large mixing bowl.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, pickle juice, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, and salt. Whisk well to emulsify and evenly distribute the flavor.
- Slowly drizzle the mixture over the popcorn, tossing as you go to coat evenly. Taste and adjust seasoning as desired.
- Serve immediately for the crunchiest texture. Garnish with extra dill or a sprinkle of crushed pickle chips if desired.
Notes
Use fresh popcorn for best flavor absorption. Adjust dill and pickle juice to your tangy preference. Store leftovers in an airtight container up to 2 days (but it’s best fresh!).
