Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cups pecans, chopped
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. Mix flour, butter, granulated sugar, and salt until crumbly.
  4. Press the mixture into the pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. In a saucepan, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, and heavy cream. Bring to a boil.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and pecans.
  7. Pour the mixture over the baked crust.
  8. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until set.
  10. Cool completely before cutting into bars.
