Delicious pecan pie bars with a salted maple twist.
Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 cups pecans, chopped
- 3/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- Mix flour, butter, granulated sugar, and salt until crumbly.
- Press the mixture into the pan and bake for 15 minutes.
- In a saucepan, combine maple syrup, brown sugar, and heavy cream. Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and pecans.
- Pour the mixture over the baked crust.
- Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until set.
- Cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Use pure maple syrup for best flavor.
- Adjust salt to taste.
