Skillet Meatball and Mozzarella Bake

Description

A simple baked dish with meatballs, marinara, and mozzarella cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound frozen meatballs
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pour the marinara sauce into a 9-inch cast iron skillet or oven-safe dish.
  3. Add the frozen meatballs to the sauce.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese over the meatballs.
  6. Bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil, if desired.
  8. Serve hot.

Notes

  • You can use homemade meatballs.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for heat.
