- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs (or breasts)
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (or avocado oil)
- Optional Garnishes:
- Chopped green onions
- Sesame seeds
- Lime wedges
Instructions
- Pat the chicken dry and season both sides with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and sear 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Transfer to a plate and keep warm.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, and chili flakes.
- Reduce heat to medium. Pour the glaze into the skillet and simmer 1–2 minutes until slightly thickened. Return chicken to pan and coat in the glaze.
- Top with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve hot with lime wedges if desired.
Notes
Use tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free version. Tone down the chili flakes for a milder kick. Great with rice, salad, or flatbread. Store leftovers in the fridge up to 4 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
