Description
A crispy and cheesy twist on the classic tuna melt, these easy-to-make tuna melt patties are perfect for a snack, lunch, or dinner.
Ingredients

- 2 cans (5 oz each) tuna, drained
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or oats for a healthier option)
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley
- 1/2 tsp mustard or Sriracha (optional)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix the drained tuna, breadcrumbs, shredded cheese, egg, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, parsley, and mustard.
- Form the mixture into small patties, pressing them together firmly.
- For best results, refrigerate patties for 30 minutes to help them hold their shape.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from heat and serve with your favorite dip, in a sandwich, or alongside a fresh salad.
Notes
For a healthier alternative, bake the patties at 375°F for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through, or cook them in an air fryer at 375°F for 12 minutes.
