Description
A simple method to create perfectly gooey cookie cups.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Press about 2 tablespoons of dough into each muffin cup, creating a well in the center.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are still soft.
- Let the cookie cups cool in the muffin tin for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra gooeyness, you can press a few extra chocolate chips into the center of each cookie cup right after they come out of the oven.
- You can also add a dollop of frosting or whipped cream to the cooled cookie cups.
