- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg, beaten
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Unroll the puff pastry onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, toss the asparagus with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Arrange the seasoned asparagus in the center of the puff pastry, leaving a 1-inch border.
- Fold the border of the puff pastry over the ends of the asparagus.
- Brush the folded pastry border with the beaten egg.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the asparagus.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed, and the asparagus is tender.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can add other herbs like thyme or rosemary for extra flavor.
- A drizzle of balsamic glaze after baking is a nice addition.
