Description

Tender, fall-off-the-bone ribs coated in a rich, homemade BBQ sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 racks pork spare ribs
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.
  3. Season the ribs generously with salt and black pepper.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. Place the ribs on a baking sheet.
  6. Brush the ribs generously with the homemade BBQ sauce.
  7. Cover the baking sheet tightly with aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.
  9. Remove the foil and brush with more sauce.
  10. Broil for 5-10 minutes, or until the sauce is caramelized and slightly sticky.
  11. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra smoky flavor, add a pinch of liquid smoke to the sauce.
  • You can grill the ribs instead of baking them for a smoky char.
  • Adjust the brown sugar in the sauce to your preferred sweetness.
