Description
Tender and flavorful beef short ribs marinated in a sweet and savory Korean BBQ sauce, grilled to perfection.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs beef short ribs, bone-in
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons mirin (rice wine)
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, mirin, garlic, ginger, and black pepper.
- Place the beef short ribs in a large resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the ribs, ensuring they are fully coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the ribs from the marinade, letting any excess drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
- Grill the short ribs for 4-6 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness and nicely charred.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a pear or onion to the marinade.
- Serve with rice and your favorite Korean side dishes.
