Description
Chewy brownie bars topped with melted chocolate and toasted marshmallows.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Spread half of the brownie batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- Sprinkle the graham cracker crumbs evenly over the brownie batter.
- Top with the chocolate chips.
- Dollop the remaining brownie batter over the chocolate chips.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs attached.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle the mini marshmallows over the top. Return to the oven for 2-3 minutes, or until marshmallows are puffed and lightly golden.
- Let cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
- For extra gooey marshmallows, you can briefly broil the bars for 30-60 seconds, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- You can substitute milk chocolate chips for semi-sweet if you prefer.
